Riders get their First Laps
The 2010 Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com, got underway this evening after a short weather delay. Roads closed around the course at 5.20pm but mist on the mountain and a rain shower meant that the first bikes left the startline on Glencrutchery Road shortly after 6.30pm in an untimed practice.

The Classic, Post Classic, Ultra-Lightweight and Newcomer B Groups opened up Tuesday’s practice session at the Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com. Conditions were generally dry and favourable although heavy winds were reported across the mountain section.

Perfect Conditions see Riders Posting Fastest Times
The fourth practice session for the 2010 Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com, started as scheduled at 6.20pm with the Senior, Junior, Lightweight and Newcomers A classes getting first use of the mountain circuit. Clerk of the Course Phi Taubman issued a sunlight warning to the paddock with excessive glare reported from Ballagarey to Ballacraine.

Michael Dunlop sets Unofficial Post Classic Lap Record
Conditions around the course for the 5th practice of the 2010 Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com, were described as ‘perfect and dry throughout with light winds’ by Clerk of the Course Phil Taubman, although he warned riders of sunlight dazzle between Union Mills and Ballacraine and also at the exit of the Gooseneck.

Michael Dunlop just misses out on 120mph Lap
Conditions were again described as perfect around the mountain course on the Isle of Man for the 6th practice for the 2010 Manx Grand Prix sponsored by visitisleofman.com, with a dry track and only light breezes reported. Competitors were again warned about excessive glare between Union Mills and Ballacraine and also at the exit to the Gooseneck.

Diesel Spill on the Course Curtails Saturdays Practice
Overcast conditions, damp patches, mist and an earlier diesel spill from Braddan Bridge to Kirk Michael all contributed to a severely reduced practice on the Isle of Man today at the Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com.

Alan Oversby on the 1970MV got the second race of the day away on time at the 2010 Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com shortly after 1.15pm with the Junior Classic machines starting ahead of the Lightweight Classic Race.

Phil Taubman, Clerk of the Course, described conditions as perfect for the second race day at the 2010 Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com, although a diesel spill meant that riders were warned about lack of adhesion from the Gooseneck to the 26th Milestone on the mountain.
