The
Clerk of the Course welcomed all the competitors
to the first practice session of the 2009 Manx
Grand Prix, and informed them the Met Office at
Ronaldsway had given clear weather until around
8.00pm.
The opening session commenced with an untimed
and controlled lap for Newcomers. |

the end of the first timed session of the 2009

were described as perfect for the second timed
practice session of the 2009 Manx Grand Prix,
with the roads closing at 1800 hrs, Senior, Junior,
Lightweight and Newcomers A were scheduled to
be first away at 1820. |

Conditions
for the final full practice session of the 2009
Manx Grand Prix were forecast as dry and sunny,
but very windy on the Mountain. Lack of adhesion
flags would be displayed where necessary due to
wet roads. |

The
six races delayed from Monday due to the atrocious
weather conditions finally got underway on Tuesday
afternoon, with a total of four races being run
concurrently under the banner of the Newcomers’
Race with classes A & B, along side the new
event for 2009, Post Classics, again with two
classes two-stroke and four-stroke. |

The

For
once the sun was bright as final preparations
were taking place in Pit Lane for the start of
the four lap Junior Manx Grand Prix at 1015hrs,
the roads having closed on time three-quarters
of an hour earlier at 0930. Jules Croft and Philip
McGurk were the first pair away as the flag dropped. |

The
four lap Classic race was brought forward 15-minutes
to 1300hrs. Weather conditions were described
as good by Clerk of the Course, just prior to
Ryan Farquhar (500 Paton) and Alan Oversby (350
MV) set off to get the part delayed Classic race
underway. |

the conditions conveyed to the competitors prior
to the start of the combined Lightweight &
Ultra Lightweight Manx Grand Prix by the Clerk
of the Course, prior to an announcement that there
would be 30 minute delay due to debris on the
course at Glen Vine. |

blue-riband event of the Manx Grand Prix, the
Senior got underway at the re-scheduled time of
1330, due to the delayed start of the preceding
race. No. 2 Philip McGurk led the way with No.
1 Scott Wilson in tow. |
