Hey there,
Tues been an awesome day again, so hot they were warning
us as we set off off melting tar going into and leaving
ballaugh bridge..
Again we've made some alterations to the bikes and it
was 2laps to start off on the sstock bike (if it felt
all ok..) I was a bit late onto the grid with a problem
fastening my helmet up, so was setting off with some
slower guys. I went off quite fast as the bike felt
100% better straight away (we'd put a manual steering
damper and stiffer spring in it).
By the time I was at Handley's I'd passed 4 guys,
the bike was flying albeit hard to change direction
at high speed (somert we're addressing tonight) got
held up a little on the remainder of the lap but crossed
the line with an all but 125 lap .5 of sec off. the
flying lap was good but the same problems as the first
but had to coast in from Windy Corner as thought I was
running out of fuel (would of hoped that would of been
in the 126's if not. So all in all pretty happy with
the girl.
Straight out on the super bike, I've got some blisters
on my left hand that are really deep and sore now and
I could feel them bleeding in my glove (only a quick
80mile to go.. ) ha.
Straight away there was this stability problem we're
suffering on the bike, so pulled up and made a suspension
change, setting off I knew the change haden't helped
but kept riding to the end of Sulby Straight where I
pulled up again and made an alteration. This time the
baby was a bit better over the bumps but still unstable,
completing the first lap I pulled in once more changed
it and to be quite honest it was pants... :) so left
it after that and got on with riding round the problems
for the reminder of the session.
Good news is I now know it not just a few clicks here
and there thats the problem!!! She no good having that
power if I canny hold the baby flat out now is she!!
We're all set with a host of new things to try wed night,
so fingers crossed with it.
On another subject have you seen that new Arai they
want us to wear for the 1st race.... She is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
- I want one to keep !!!
Let you no how wed goes again, and steady away......
All the best GAZ.
