Hi there,
Well been nice having sunday off to have a look round
the course again, the place sure does look different
at 190mph... But the weathers been awesome, more sun
bathing then leathers and biking weather though.
Got everything ready for tonight and the idea was the
same as Sat, 1lap on the SStock, 2 on SBK and 1 on the
600. The stockers the one causing the most trouble at
the mo, but more down to the steering damper than anything
else (Wont be fixed till tues as a bracket is being
made).
Set off about 10th tonight, didn't want to be 1st as
there been seed dumped on the road today at sarhs thro
to kirk michael which had been cleaned up though...
Lougher was on the his SBK next to us so let him lead
the way, but the bike felt better! the fuelling had
been altered and was much crisper and a heavier spring
in the rear made the thing feel more stable (albeit
abit harsh on the damping) but was still having major
head shake so just cruzed round looking at around 120mph
adv.
Jumped straight on the SBK which felt good again so
did my flying lap, was held up for along time by high
start no. lad from Cronk ye Voddy to the run into Kirk
Michael (he was just going quick enough to make that
it would of been close going past him and only 2nd nights
practice). Then caught Keith Amor at the Gooseneck and
struggled going past till dived under him at the end
of the Mountain Mile. Ended the lap on a adv of 125.1mph
so would of easily been in the 126's so was really happy
just riding round smooth.
We're making a few changes to the rear shock as it's
bouncing around a lot and feels real harsh... (murder
on my back )
Last lap as planned on the 600, you're now mixed in
deep with newcomers and I know how hard this place is
for them!!! only 2years ago that it was me makes us
smile as always remember Hutchy, Guy, John passing me
like I was going in the wrong direction on the run into
top of Barregarrow.
But the bike felt good, engine ok has been re-fuelled
and made sharper, but was a steady run to Ginger Hall
with newcomers then got a good run to the end after
that. 120 adv from standing start with a steady first
half to the lap, I ended the night happy with it all
Let you no how it all goes tonight
All the best GAZ.
