2009 Barry Sheene Classic Road Races - Scarborough (23rd/24th May)

Race Report - Saturday

Fine but overcast conditions greeted officials and competitors at Oliver’s Mount as practice got underway promptly at 9.30am at the start of the two-day Barry Sheene Classic Road Race Festival meeting. Practice completed and lunch taken it was time for past Grands Prix riders Mick Grant and Jim Redman to set the afternoons Parade Laps off.

Race Report - Sunday

Clear blue skies and bright sunshine welcomed competitors and enthusiasts at Oliver’s Mount for the second day of the Barry Sheene International Race Festival.
After an incident free practice session the ‘real’ action got underway with the second leg of the Syd Barnett Trophy race for 350cc classic machines over six laps. Paul Coward got the hole-shot into Mere Hairpin, but it was Ryan Farquhar who was ahead of the field and the end .................
