2011 resulted in the popular Dungannon man having probably his best ever season, taking race wins, podiums and another Irish Championship. He re-claimed the Irish Supertwin Road Race Championship with three wins at Skerries, Athea and Munster and he was never off the podium throughout the year. Although disappointed at times with his Supersport outings, he was definitely on song on the Cookstown GSXR100 Suzuki claiming several podiums and ending the year with third overall in the Irish Senior Championship. He also made his mark at the Internationals with good solid results and times at both the TT and UGP, claiming a podium at the latter on his ER6 Kawasaki and three other top fifteen finishes. His impressive performances throughout the year resulted in a superb fifth place finish in the prestigious Duke Road Race Rankings. He will be looking for more of the same in 2012, with the same team behind him and “Cookstown” remaining as his major sponsor there is no reason why not and this time he is armed with a recently purchased ex-Bruce Anstey Suzuki.
