A cracking start to the days racing here in Dundrod with drama from start to finish.
Michael Pearson didnt start the race after making a wrong tyre choice. Martin got the holeshot off the line but by Leathemstown had lost it to Gary Johnson who had pulled out a lead of a few seconds. Behind him was M Dunlop, Martin and Farquhar.
At the end of lap one Archibald and Robb had retired and M Dunlop was back in the lead ahead of Johnson, Lougher and Martin with McCormack retiring with a mechanical problem and Farquhar pulling in with a front tyre issue.
By lap 4 M Dunlop was still in the lead but Martin was in close contention behind having dropped Lougher and Johnson off slightly. William Dunlop retired with a brake problem and Shiels retired at Wheelers.
As the leaders took the last lap flag there was nothing between Dunlop and Martin but after the Deers Leap M Dunlop had pulled a slight lead and eventually came home as the winner ahead of Martin. Johnson took 4th by 0.01 from Lougher and Amor was 5th ahead of Cummins
