2012 Mid Antrim 150

Good morning from a grey and overcast Mid Antrim 100.

We have had a parade lap here now and the first race, the Senior Support is just over.

Off to a good start with a very close race here where we had 4 different leaders in the first 4 laps. From then on though Rodney Patton stamped his authority and took a good win by 2.829 second from Sam Wilson.

A good classic race with quite a few changes to the top 3 is eventually won by Costello from Davidson and Gallagher. Then its

Superbikes out next and its strange to see Michael Dunlop on the grid, not riding but working as Mechanic for John Burrows.

After 1 warm up lap Burrows pulls in with a gear box problem and both he and McCormack who has water in the bike electrics are non starters

End lap 4 and Farquhar leads comfortably from Anderson and Sweeney.

A good superbike race here even though Farquhar won by 10.44 seconds from Shaun Anderson who had mechanical problems just as he crossed the line but had a gap of 8 second back to 3rd. That was a close battle between Sweeney and Shiels with Cranston in 5th. Hamilton and Magee crossed the line next almost together with McGee and Elliott making up the top 8

250/400 race

Paul Robinson leads for the first few laps but then disappears to leave Barry Davison at the front. At the line though Tommy Henry gets the win by 3.5 second

Supertwins on warmup now

Supertwin race was a bit of a parade lap after starting off with some promise. End lap 1 Farquhar Hamilton Sweeney and Burrows crossed the line together but Hamilton dropped the bike at the hairpin. After lap 5 Sweeney had also disappeared leaving Ryan winning by 45 second over Burrows who had a cushion of 20 second over Farrell who took 3rd

Farquhar takes the 600 race on Mark Shields's 600 bike leading from flag to flag over Sweeney and Shiels. Burrows was in 4th but suffered mechanical problems on the last lap and eventually finished 5th behind Elliott

125/Moto 450 now

Paul Robinson took a good win from Sam Wilson, Elliott and Davidson, Moore, S Dunlop, Kennedy and Love in the 125 class while Farquhar dominated the 450 class ahead of Gilpin and Walsh.
