i kind of wound up here un-expectedly . i bought one of Mark Salle's old race bikes , a harris mk6 rg500 , and was looking for info on it . i bought the bike about 6 years ago when it was just a rolling chasis . i fitted an rg500 (the road bike engine ) the frame was already road registered . i then rode it around doing it a great injustice with my abilities for about 2 years . it won a couple of dyno day shoot outs but i was having some issues with the bike sitting up under power ,to much anti-squat, so i sent the frame and swinger off to simon of nws and stan stephens got the motor for a refresh and tune , carbs bored and a nova gearbox and straight cut primaries were fitted . bikes not quite finished its having some paint , making some filters and some other little jobs which seem to take more time than the big stuff .

i have spoken with harris and i am going to run the bike up to them to get it's age etc varified so i can get it on an age related plate . i believe the frame is late seventies or very early eighties . if you clever bunch can help would be much appreciated . hope to have it finished in a couple of months
