Glenn Biesty, owner of Biesty’s Centra Ballymoney, said; “We are delighted once again to be able to sponsor the 250cc GP Race at the Armoy Road Race. As we all know the Ballymoney road racing community is the heart of road racing in Northern Ireland – we’ve a very strong biking community locally and therefore the Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ should be welcomed and supported. As local independent retailers we focus on supporting the community. My wife, Angela, and I are only too pleased to beassisting this event. Most of the community already knows we are biking supporters – the murals at the front of the shop might just give it away! Since moving to Ballymoney I caught the bug and now have my own bike, I have great admiration of the skill and dedication of all the riders. I’d like to wish Bill Kennedy and all his Team at Armoy Road Races every success this year.”
The Armoy Road Races Bike Week runs from the 22nd to 28th July. This is the fourth year in a row that the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club will be putting on a fantastic event with something for everyone.
Bill Kennedy, Clerk of the Course, said, ”Armoy Road Races 2012 will be bigger and better than the previous years. The community and sponsors, in particular Biesty’s Centra Ballymoney, are the backbone of our event – we couldn’t put on such a great event without them and our sponsors. I urge the local community to come along and make the most of what will be a superb day’s racing, a ‘giant’ of a day and a great day’s craic!”
