Start / Finish
Good spectating along this stretch from Bells Crossroads
up to the chicane outside the Paddock, with plenty of
room along both sides of the road. Just past the Chicane
around the right sweep there is the first jump with good
spectating on both sides also. This is a great area to
watch from with loads of facilities and access to the
paddock too. The first left hander is only viewed on the
entrance behind the fence on the right. Further up the
road there are spots to watch as the riders crest the
up hill run to the Moss Dip. Make sure to visit the Little
Orange Hall on the right link road for a pint and burger.
The Moss Dip
This is a very tricky section with spectating only on
the left side approach. The riders jump into the dip
and then go into the fast right and left corners. There
are no facilities along this stretch.
Marlacoo Corner
This 90 degree right hander is best viewed from the
high banking on the outside of the corner which offers
great views of the approach to the corner and the circuit
away through the slight left and long fast right.
The Dip
Riders approach this very fast left-hander over a brow
and then accelerate over another brow towards Hamilton's
corner. Viewing is limited along this area, and be sure
to ask landowners for permission.
Hamilton's Corner
This fast right-hander precedes the long run down the
Cabra Straight and has limited access. Please consult
the Marshalls in this area as to where you can watch.
The Cabra Straight
This very fast straight has a great jump about half
way down, and is taken flat out. There are a number
of spots to spectate from and no facilities along this
stretch. There is a fast left / right flick on the way
to Castle Corner at the end of this road.
Castle Corner
The riders approach this hard braking 90 degrees right-hander
over a brow and spectating is only allowed on the inside
of the corner and at the junction on the left. On the
exit viewing is only on the high banks along the inside
of the circuit, walk along a little to see the next
two bends taken as one.
Joey's Bombhole
This used to be a very hard place to see the action,
but now the hedges have been cut back to give an excellent
view of the riders negotiating this famous jump downhill
and on towards the Cooley Crossroads.
Cooleyhill Cross
This is a down hill approach to a 90 degree right-hander
and is only viewed from the big sloping field on the
outside of the corner. Watch the riders brake hard after
the previous jumps to get stopped for the crossroads.
There are some facilities here too.
Hanna's Bends
The next right/ left corners are only viewed on the
exit. The riders then accelerate along this stretch
and take a slight right up hill sweep and go left over
a brow towards the drop to Bells Crossroads. There are
areas to spectate all along this stretch, but please
pay attention to the prohibited signs in some areas.
Bells Crossroads
This 90 degree right-hander is a great spot to watch
from with a Grandstand to view the approach around a
long right hander. Watch as some riders overshoot on
the last lap or accelerate to the start finish line
to win. There are loads of facilities around and the
paddock is within walking distance. |
