Start / Finish
There is limited viewing along the start and finish line,
but there are plenty of facilities in the area including
toilets, merchandise sales and catering.
Dublin Corner
The most popular vantage point on the track where lots
of action, near misses and the odd crash takes place.
Plenty of space here, but it does get busy as the day
goes on. Access to catering units and the paddock is
easy from here. There is also room on the exit to the
corner which is also very popular.
Dublin Corner to Dukes
Bends
Fans in their hundreds man the high banks on the run
from Dublin Corner to Dukes Bends. Plenty of viewing
available and a truly unique spectating experience which
has to be sampled.
Dukes Bends
Named after Geoff Duke who crashed here, one of the
most spectacular points on the track to watch from.
Viewing is available in the front garden of the house
situated here, with catering, owned by former racer
and current Clerk of the Course, Francis Everard.
Baldungan
Popular spectator spot with viewing available on the
way into the tight left hand bend on the outside of
the course, and on the inside of the corner itself.
Glasshouses
Technical section of the course with ample viewing on
the inside of the corner and all the way along the hedgerow
on the exit. Very narrow part of the track and deceptively
fast.
Gillies Leap
Another truly iconic Irish Road Race circuit section.
Gillies Leap is a flat out down hill decent on an angle.
Always busy so get there early to marvel at local hero
Martin Finnegan wrestle with his Superbike – a
sight to behold. Catering is available at the farm at
the bottom of the hill.
Shady Lane
Limited viewing is available all along the Shady Lane
which is the widest and fastest part of the circuit.
Sam’s Tunnel
Named after former Skerries hero Sam McClements, the
new breed of Superbike and Superbike rider has made
this a must see area. Limited Grandstand viewing is
available to view the approach to the Tunnel where the
bikes bottom out on the dip, before wheelieing up the
hill and out of distance. |
