Craig Atkinson to an historic double success
at the Manx Grand Prix, by winning the Senior
Race on the Martin Bullock Raceteam Suzuki,
adding to his Junior success. Atkinson became
the first rider to win two of the main Manx
Grand Prix Races in seven years...

Raceteam rider Nigel ‘Speedy’ John
was left seriously injured after crashing out
at Waterworks during the Lightweight Manx Grand
Prix, which was eventually won by Irishman Barry
Davidson. It was Yamaha mounted Neil Kent who
was the early leader however, passing Davidson
on the opening lap to lead by over ten seconds...

and Derek Brien thrilled the crowds at the Manx
Grand Prix with a start to finish battle in
the Junior race, which saw the closest finish
ever not only in the history of the event but
ever to have occurred on the Mountain Circuit.
Starting at numbers 1 and 2 on the road, the
duo were never more than inches apart throughout...

Having lead
the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix twelve months
ago before retiring, former British Champion
and double TT winner Chris Palmer made no mistake
this time around, taking Fred Walmsley’s
Manx Norton to victory this afternoon.

Twenty two year
old Irishman Shane Connor grabbed the headlines
on the Isle of Man today with a record breaking
performance in this mornings Manx Grand Prix
Newcomers Race. Connor broke Ian Hutchinson’s
lap record with a lap of 19 minutes 20.84 seconds;
117.008mph on lap two of the four lap race averaging
over 114mph for the race...
